Pfizer Colleagues to Mentor Veterans in Transition to Civilian Life
New York, N.Y., May 28, 2021 – Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) today announced a new partnership with American Corporate Partners (ACP), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans and active duty spouses find their next careers through one-on-one mentoring, networking, and online career advice.
To mark this Memorial Day, Pfizer colleagues will join the ACP’s mentoring program. As mentors, Pfizer colleagues will assist program participants face the challenges associated with securing meaningful employment opportunities and develop long-term civilian careers. They will help veterans and eligible spouses throughout all stages of their job search, from developing a compelling resume to coaching them on effective interviewing and networking techniques.

Pfizer’s partnership with ACP kick-offs June 1st, 2021. Each Pfizer mentor pledges to a yearlong commitment that begins with a matching process, by which ACP’s staff personally pairs every applicant, hand-picking a Mentor for each Protégé based on career compatibility, experience level, location, and personal interests. Throughout the year, Pfizer mentors will hold one-on-one sessions, as well as virtual and in-person networking events as part of the program.

More than one million veterans are expected to transition from the military to civilian life over the next five years. Since it was founded in 2008, ACP has helped more than 20,000 veterans transition to civilian life.
