Served as President and Chief Executive Officer of State Street Global Advisors from 2017 until his retirement in 2022. Prior to joining State Street, Mr. Taraporevala held numerous leadership roles in asset management including at Fidelity, BNY Mellon, Legg Mason, and Citigroup. Earlier in his career Mr. Taraporevala was a partner at McKinsey & Company, based in New York and Copenhagen. Mr. Taraporevala currently serves on the boards of directors of Shell plc and Bridgepoint Group plc.
