Meet The People of PGS: Ken
Over the next few months, we will spotlight the names and faces behind the great work we do in PGS. First up is Ken, who operated the forklift carrying the first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine out of the Kalamazoo site.
As a Senior Logistics Operator at the PGS site in Kalamazoo, Ken loads critical medicines into pallets and onto trucks to be delivered around the world. Millions of vials of product have passed through his hands in his 23 years at Pfizer, but recently he loaded one product that made him particularly proud – the first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
“It was my proudest moment in my 23 years at Pfizer,” Ken said. “I feel that I made a difference by being the last one to touch a product that will go to patients. Knowing the impact of the COVID-19 vaccine made this particular moment a huge honor.”
Ken loves the sense of accomplishment and pride he feels from his work at Pfizer. In fact, he loves his job so much that he has a perfect attendance record of seven years! “It would’ve been longer, but I did have to miss some work when my child was born,” he joked. “But I am not complaining!”
Thank you, Ken, for everything you do in support of patients. You make us #PGSProud!
