Building on Pfizer’s 175-year legacy to be a force for good in the world, Pfizer launched 175 Days of Good—a global call to action to inspire and celebrate colleague volunteerism and Pfizer’s collective commitment to do good where we work, live—and beyond.

From June 13 to International Volunteer Day on December 5, Pfizer colleagues around the world are hosting and joining volunteer events as individuals, sites, and teams.

To support this commitment and enhance colleagues’ impact, through support from The Pfizer Foundation*, colleagues can receive incentives and awards, such as team volunteer grants, which can then be donated to eligible charitable organizations.

Dave Denton, Pfizer’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, and more than 100 Pfizer colleagues kicked off 175 Days of Good by volunteering with Cheeriodicals, an organization dedicated to delivering custom gift boxes to local medical patients. Colleagues packed “Cheer Kits” to help patients at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in New York City.

Participating in events like this makes us feel really great. 175 Days of Good allows us to demonstrate our purpose of fulfilling unmet needs, creating positive impact in society and most importantly, bringing breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.

Continuing the momentum

Pfizer’s New York Headquarters celebrated their own ‘Day of Good’ on July 16, hosting in-person and virtual volunteer events with Cheeriodicals, Rise Against Hunger, New York Botanical Gardens, Hudson Guild, Save the Children, and American Red Cross.

More than 900 Pfizer colleagues came together to take collective community action—packing more than 50,000 meals for the hungry, planting gardens, and assembling 500 Cheer Kits for children across New York City.

I joined Pfizer colleagues for a volunteer event with Cheeriodicals, where we packed Cheer Kits for children at NYU Children's Hospital and Mt. Sinai Children’s Hospital. I realized that while it may be 175 Days of Good, here at Pfizer we have the privilege and responsibility to impact lives 365 days a year.

Making an impact around the world

Colleagues from around the world are also joining 175 Days of Good—as individuals and as teams—to make an impact in their communities in Australia, Canada, Columbia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

We decided to launch 175 Days of Good because we wanted to shine a light on the deep commitment that Pfizer colleagues have to their local communities. So many colleagues volunteer every day to try to make the world a better place.

People have always been at the heart of everything we do at Pfizer, and for our colleagues, living our Purpose extends beyond the workplace—and beyond 175 Days of Good.
