Smoking Cessation
Innovative Tobacco Control Educational Module for Residents in Surgical Specialties
Mayo Clinic
The primary goal of this program is to develop, test, and disseminate a tobacco control educational module for residents in surgical specialties, using anesthesiology residents as the “test case” to increase the proportion of surgical patients who receive tobacco use interventions initiated by surgical specialists. The project will develop an interactive internet-based educational module that teaches an Ask-Advise-Refer intervention approach.
