THE OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
- The role of Legal specialist (Legal Adviser) is to provide legal assistance to existing departments within Pfizer Romania.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafting of contracts, notifications and other documents.
- Review of contracts and other types of documents.
- Legal research on various topics, depending on the project and issues legal opinions.
- Ensures a good communication with the other departments, offering support to the employees from the other departments in the revision of the contracts and information related to the internal procedures and the applicable legislation.
- Legal opinions on projects involving personal data / GDPR.
- Performing formalities at the Trade Register in accordance with the legislation in force.
- Provide support in tracking legal / regulatory changes applicable to the company and for the implementation of such.
- Obtaining certificates, certifications, authorizations, and other official documents from public authorities.
- Preparing professional training materials and supports the professional training of employees as part of the On-boarding process or whenever necessary.
- Drafting/ review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and training materials.
- Legal assistance to employees in other departments of the company.
- Updating the databases and archives used by the Legal Department.
- Recording requests regarding legal aid providers and other providers, if applicable, through internal financial systems and ensures that payments are made.
- Ensuring all invoices issued by suppliers contracted by the Legal Department are paid on time so that there are no penalties.
- Translating confidential documents, contracts, communications, internal procedures, and other requested materials.
- Providing the necessary information and documentation during audit periods (corporate, financial, medical, etc.).
- Providing logistical support for all internal and external travel of members of the Legal department.
NECESSARY SKILL SET:
- Law degree
- Experience in a reputable law firm and/or in-house team in a similar company.
- Solid legal knowledge.
- English - advanced level.
- Good knowledge of operating in Microsoft Office.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Planning and organizing skills.
- Integrity, the ability to take responsibility.
Legal and regulatory skills:
- Commercial and contract drafting experience for a wide range of procurement agreements
- Experience in drafting comprehensive legal memos to multiple level stakeholders ; ability to interpret different legislative documents and provide clear summary to non-legal stakeholders.
- Experience with Labor Law provisions applicable in Romania.
- Experience with Compliance and Ethics programs.
Communications & Organizational Skills:
- Fluency in English - Ability to work and communicate directly in English.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills and solid organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with colleagues around the world and manage with ease both time-sensitive and long-term projects.
- Superior problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, ability to influence, communications, consulting, and team/interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others from any functional area, background, or location to influence thinking, and gain acceptance.
- Ability to comfortably work with both technical and non-technical audiences and to work with and through all levels in an organization.
