The Commercial Analytics & AI (CAAI) China team is responsible for the delivery of services that require secondary data analysis across business units (BU) to provide strategic recommendations on performance review, brand planning, operation planning, promotional resource allocation, field force sizing, segmentation/targeting, structural decisions, and digital strategies, etc.  The team delivers the services by leveraging the central expertise and existing tools, or by building simple to intermediate analysis locally. 

Analytics CoE Lead role is expected to lead xBU level analytics to support CLT business decision making, performance KPI development and tracking, competitive intelligence development, and other China strategic opportunity evaluation and analytics support. This role also covers GTMx related analytics work to drive omnichannel customer engagement. He/She will also coordinate cross CoE collaboration (e.g. between ISE and Data Scientists), as well as partner with other xFunction team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead company level analysis to support CLT decision making, xBU performance tracking, coordinate company wide analytics support to BP/OP, SF efficiency, Competitive Intelligence etc.
• Manage business performance KPI development and tracking, including global / local cockpit, performance dashboards, monthly performance reporting.
• Partner with CAAI CoE teams (ISE, Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, APM, etc.) to lead China xBU analytics projects to drive business impact;
• Collaborate with other Function team to collectively support China strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Lead the GTMx activity tracking in company level & BU level, including GTM KPI tracking, cross BU & BU deep dive analysis and regular check-in meetings for sharing and leaning. Assist BU and the Customer Innovation team to track the digital performance and guide the learning journey to optimize GTMx implementation based on the analysis results.
• Coordinate and manage GTMx impact analysis, including AB testing, HCP perception change study, ROI & efficiency analysis. Help drive GTMx impact to provide a guidance and reference for future digital resource investment.
• Collaborate with CAAI data science to perform HCP segmentation and AI insights projects.
• Keep smooth communication & full alignment with multi-clients (CI, BU digital lead, other work-stream colleagues, agency and internal CAAI team) along with the whole process of the GTMx analysis.
• Design, implement and maintain reports (tools and performance dashboards, cockpits) both for BU level and country level performance review to receive consistent updates.
• Support CAAI TA leads involving BU deep dive analysis to drive digital/ Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy optimization in BU level.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Indicate the formal education, certification or license required and/or preferred. Include the minimum number of years of relevant experience required for the position (where legally permissible).

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Masters in analytic discipline/ statistics preferred

Qualifications / Experience:

• 10 years analytics experience
• At least 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or internet companies or consulting firms
• Thorough understanding of Pharmaceutical digital strategy
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and execute creative solutions.
• Ability to understand and communicate business challenges, issues and events, and effectively incorporate that knowledge in the analyses and recommendations
• Working knowledge of developing analytic models, data reporting and commercial analytics tools
• Experience analyzing large amounts of data.
• Ability to understand/interpret/integrate raw outputs from various econometric and statistical models; ability to integrate and synthesize separate concepts
• Ability to work closely with senior management, providing business insights, challenging their thinking, and managing their expectations.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Significant hands-on experience analyzing large pharmaceutical secondary datasets (sub national level, payer, patient / longitudinal, call activity)
• Fluency in English is preferable

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Indicate the technical skills required and/or preferred, as applicable.

• Candidates should have strong quantitative and computer skills, strategic and analytics thinking; employers prefer workers who have completed advanced math courses including statistics, forecasting, etc;
• Individuals with a master's degree in operations research or management science should have excellent employment prospects; entry-level positions are available to those with a bachelor’s degree;
• Two years’ of GTM analysis experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferrable.
•  Proficient in Excel, Power Point and preferable with visualization tool using experience such as Tableau
•  Good command of English both in oral and written.
